• Work closely with Novartis China leadership team and lead enterprise level commercial model transformation project
• Support the successful implementation of commercial model transformation project by ensuring effective project governance, tracking progress, managing risks, and facilitating communication across stakeholders
• Coordinating project activities, and providing analytical support to drive implementation

About the Role

Major Accountabilities

  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Define, scope and manage enterprise level operating model transformation effort. Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, including timelines, milestones, and reporting. Monitor project progress, risks, and issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
  • ACCOUNTABILITY: Champion individual and team accountability for higher standard of ethic and integrity. Support change management activities by tracking adoption metrics and stakeholder engagement.
  • CAPABILITIES: Identify critical capability gaps and barriers for solution design
  • CULTURE: Foster progress before perfection, entrepreneurship and growth mindset, in line with Novartis Values & Behaviours

Critical Experience and Skills

  • PROJECT MANAGAMENT: Able to define, identify critical deliverables, manage and drive complex project to completion; leadership mindset and work independently
  • COMMERCIAL ACUMEN: At least 10 years of senior commercial acumen or strategy planning roles; Understand marketing principles and process
  • CHANGE LEADERSHIP: Inspire and lead others to deliver change and impact
  • INFLUENCE: Able to impact and influence stakeholders across all levels effectively
  • COLLABORATION: Exceptional in working cross-functional teams in delivering results for complex projects
  • LANGUAGE: English and Mandarin is a must

Ideal Background

Education (minimum/desirable):

  • University Degree (Science, preferred, Economics)
  • MBA is desirable

Languages:           

  • English & Chinese fluent spoken & written;

Experience:           

  • Around 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Significant marketing experience required
  • Strategic Planning and PMO experience desired
  • Medical Affairs or Sales experience a plus
  • A plus if candidate has management consulting experience with relevant projects in pharmaceutical industry
